Un archivo EML en resumen es un correo electrónico que almacena las cabeceras HTML originales. La estructura del archivo EML es estándar y está compuesta de dos partes, el encabezado y el cuerpo.
Un archivo EML consta de información de encabezados y, opcionalmente, del cuerpo del mensaje. Cada línea de encabezado EML tiene dos partes separadas por dos puntos :
. El primero se llama nombre del encabezado y el que sigue a los dos puntos es el cuerpo del encabezado. Por ejemplo, tales encabezados incluyen:

Los archivos .eml
suelen abrirse comúnmente con el cliente de correo electrónico predeterminado del sistema. Sin embargo .eml
es un estándar utilizado por Outlook.
Hay muchos programas para abrir archivos .eml
. Entre ellos, los más destacados son los principales clientes de correo eletrónicos:
Adjuntar cualquier tipo de archivos primero debemos codificarlo a base64. Para ello podemos usar herramientas como base64 guru y el proximo paso es cambiar el MIME en el encabezado para que podamos tener múltiples partes en el cuerpo del mensaje:

Como vemos ahora hemos definido un tipo de contenido multipart/mixed
, lo que significa que puede haber uno o más archivos adjunto. Cada archivo adjunto tiene límites de principio y fin. El identificador de límite se establece en el parámetro boundary=
. Todos los límites comienzan con dos guiones(--
). Por ende como se ve en el ejemplo, debemos agregar los dos que hemos definido en el parámetro. El límite final también concluye con dos guiones(--
).

Para la siguiente fila, voy agregar código HTML, ya de una vez te digo que el HTML para los correos electrónicos es muy diferente, en medida es porque está algo atrasado por lo que vamos a tener que utilizar esas viejas etiquetas sobretodo tablas de HTML4 y estilos en línea para crear un diseño. Esto se debe a razones obvias de seguridad donde los clientes de correo electrónico suelen alterar los correos electrónico HTML cuando llegan a la bandeja de entrada como por ejemplo eliminan el CSS y JavaScript entre otras cosas.
